Two brides are better than one

Sophie & Lorraine will be tying the knot in July and so we recently met up (along with their little niece, Evie) to discuss the details of what is going to be an amazing wedding. While we were there I though it would be nice to do a little pre-wedding shoot, just to get them used to posing for the camera before their Big Day. It turns out that they were both naturals.

A Moody Morning in Walsall

It was a considerably gloomy day at Walsall Arboretum this morning, but the foggy weather meant that we got to have the playground all to ourselves for a while.

Messy Play

Rory has reached the age where constant entertainment is a must, but unfortunately with our big house move growing nearer and nearer, our once bountiful list of potential playtime activities has grown frustratingly small as toys and games are packed up into boxes. In a Pinterest inspired moment of blind exhaustion, I grabbed the washing up bowl and a giant bag of porridge oats and let her go crazy for an hour. It was pure oaty chaos, but she loved it.

On the move again

By the end of the month, we will be moving out of our little, urban flat into an also little house in Bridgnorth, a little market town in Shropshire, where Chris was born. I'm hoping that once we're there, I'll have more incentive to go out with my camera and take photographs for myself again. I'm excited to explore the new surroundings and get to know landscapes that aren't cluttered with buildings and covered in cement. I think I'm most excited about the fact that I can see the stars there, I always forget just how many there really are.

Oscar's Cake Smash

In February, I got to shoot my very first Cake smash for Oscar's first birthday.
It turns out that some kids just want to keep their clothes clean and eat healthy snacks and it took quite a bit of effort to get him smothered in sponge cake and frosting without him being highly offended. Luckily he wasn't shy of the camera though. What an incredibly sweet little guy.
